REVIEW: Home match against Wiesbaden THC

After a very narrow 4:5 away defeat on Friday against the strong TLZ Espenhain team, our Men's 1 team under Head Coach Daniel Baumann wanted to make a statement in their second home game of the season last Sunday.
The guests were the long-established Wiesbadener THC.

In the singles, our players showed a strong and cohesive team performance: Reis da Silva won his match with nerves of steel in the tie-break, Neuchrist, Torres and Hipfl contributed confident victories - so the team went into the doubles with a 4:2 lead.

The starting position was clear: another double victory would decide the matchday.

The duo Torres/Hipfl held their nerve and secured the important fifth point in the match tiebreak. Reis da Silva and Neuchrist followed up in two sets and made the 6:3 overall victory perfect. One doubles match was narrowly lost.

In the end, our team won 6:3.

The team put in a cohesive and strong performance and can now look forward to the next two away games against Nuremberg and Frankfurt with confidence.
