Im Aktionsplan Inklusion der BASF SE wurde es sich im Handlungsfeld ‚Bewusstseinsbildung‘ verbindlich vorgenommen. Nun war es endlich so weit: In Kooperation mit dem BASF Tennisclub e.V. und ‚Special Olympics‘ fand am 30.04.2022 das 1. Inklusive Sportevent statt.
Rund 50 Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer mit und ohne Behinderung nahmen daran teil und verbrachten einen sportlichen Tag auf dem Gelände des BASF Tennisclub e.V.. Der Spaß war allen Teilnehmenden anzusehen. Mit Freude an Bewegung konnten die Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer in vier unterschiedliche Sportarten unter Anleitung von erfahrenden Trainern reinschnuppern.
In addition to tennis and padel tennis, boules and handball were also on offer, so all participants, who were divided into 4 teams, had a day where the focus was on (sporting) fun!
Team spirit was a top priority. And even if the weather didn't always play along, all sports could be tried out.
The participants from BASF, Schlossschule Ilvesheim, Lebenshilfe and various workshops for people with disabilities, among others, showed great enthusiasm and team spirit. They tried things out, competed, cheered and laughed. There was even an opportunity to play a handball match under the guidance of active players from the ‚Owls‘. But the fun was also great in teams of two playing boules with BSV coaches, padel tennis and tennis with and against each other.
You could see the joy and enthusiasm on the faces of the participants and trainers. And the feedback was also very positive: Marion Bott, an employee of the integration company, wrote: „It was a great day.“ And Stefan Koch, a child of deaf parents, wrote: „Thank you so much for allowing us to take part in this wonderful event. The encounters were interesting and enriching.“
Zum Abschluss der Veranstaltung gab es eine Verlosung, bei dem es u. a. Rucksäcke, Tickets für Bundesliga-Spiele beim BASF Tennisclub e.V. und den Eulen Ludwigshafen ging, bis hin zu Jahresmitgliedschaften beim BASF Tennisclub e.V.!
A top event; and so some participants immediately asked for a sequel. All cooperation partners agree: to be continued.
