Two away matches, two victories - last weekend saw the start of the men's 1 Bundesliga season in the 2nd Bundesliga. Coach Denis Gremelmayr and his team played their first away match in Bavaria at TC Ismaning. Here, the players Neuchrist (AUT), Lamasine (FRA), Kuhn (GER) and Gavrielides (GER) won in the singles round. After hard-fought matches, the team went into the doubles with a 2:4 lead. The duo Lamasine/Kuhn then scored the all-important point for the first away win of 4:5 for BASF Tennisclub e.V..
On Sunday, the men's team hosted Eintracht Frankfurt. Here, too, the spectators were treated to first-class tennis and BASF Tennisclub e.V. took a 2:4 lead thanks to victories in the singles round by Neuchrist (AUT), Kuhn (GER), Hampel (AUT) and Lipp (GER). After a thrilling rally in the doubles round, the doubles duo Neuchrist/Kuhn were able to score the point needed for the next 4:5 victory for the team.
