An exciting season comes to an end - last Sunday, around 400 spectators were treated to an exciting match on the last matchday of the season. The visitors were league leaders Rochusclub Düsseldorf.

In the first singles round, Tristan Lamasine (BASF TC) lost to Filip Horansky from Slovakia 2:6, 3:6, while Daniel Baumann won the first point for BASF Tennisclub e.V. with a 6:4, 6:2 victory. Cem Ilkel (BASF TC) was also unable to win the match and lost narrowly to Düsseldorf's Pablo Andujar-Alba 4-6, 4-6. Meanwhile, Liam Gavrielides took the second point for Ludwigshafen. After winning the first set and losing the second to his opponent Andrea Pellegrino, he won the match in a tie-break (7:6 (4), 3:6, 10:5).

The doubles round began with a draw (2:2) after the singles. Things got really exciting again for the spectators on the court. Lamasine and Härteis faced the two singles winners Horansky and Andujar-Alba on the center court. The doubles match between the two Ludwigshafen players Hirschmüller, Baumann and Pellegrino, Arends started at the same time. In the end, it was only just enough for a win. After two exciting matches, Lamasine, Härteis lost 3:6, 4:6 and Hirschmüller, Baumann 4:6, 4:6. The last match of the season was decided with a narrow 2:4 victory for Rochusclub Düsseldorf on their home court in Ludwigshafen.

Despite a good overall sporting performance in the 1st Bundesliga, BASF Tennisclub e.V. unfortunately did not manage to stay in the league.

We would like to thank Rochusclub Düsseldorf for a great Bundesliga season and congratulate them on winning the German championship.
