BASF TC Ludwigshafen 1 and TC BW Vaihingen-Rohr 1 faced each other in the third home matchday of the Ladies 1 in the second Bundesliga South. The line-up of our ladies was very similar to the line-up from the match day against CaM Nuremberg, except that Sinja Kraus did not play. At position 1, Isabella Shinikova won 6:3 6:1 against the US-American Ashley Lahey, just like in the previous match days. At No. 2, Ivanova Dasha was beaten by Yvonne Cavalle-Reimers after two tight sets with a singles score of 3:6 4:6. Selina Dal lost at position 3 against Emily Siebold 3:6 0:6. Livia Kraus won her singles match at position 4 after giving up her opponent at 4:0. Anna Linn Puls lost her singles match at position 5 2:6 1:6 against Kathrin Wörle-Scheller. Charlotte Keitel lost her very close and exciting singles match against Jasmin Kling 3:6 6:2 and 7:10 in the match tie-break at No. 6. After the singles, the score was 4:2 for TC BW Vaihingen-Rohr. You could feel the tension of our ladies, who were trailing after the singles for the first time this year. They lacked a bit of the ease of the previous match days and so the second and third doubles went to TC BW Vaihingen-Rohr. Only Isabella Shinikova and Selina Dal were convincing in their doubles match with a result of 6:3 6:3. In summary, it was a nice and exciting match day despite the narrow defeat. The last home matchday for our ladies will take place on Friday 02.06.2023.
